The AlcoEngine Reflux Still, boiler, distillation lid and other components are not included.
Choosing the Correct Flow-Control Insert
The supplied inserts regulate the rate at which distillate leaves the AlcoEngine Reflux Still.
0.6mm Insert
The smaller 0.6mm insert restricts the output rate and increases the amount of reflux occurring inside the column.
This slower collection rate is generally selected when prioritising separation and higher-purity neutral spirit.
1.0mm Insert
The larger 1.0mm insert allows a faster collection rate with less reflux.
It can be used when prioritising output speed or conducting a faster stripping run before a slower spirit run.
Reflux performance will also depend on boiler power, column setup, packing, coolant supply and operating technique.

It is not intended as a universal replacement kit for pot stills, T500 condensers, air stills or unrelated reflux-column designs.
Compare your existing outlet assembly with the product images before ordering, particularly if you own an older AlcoEngine model.
Installation
Turn off and unplug the boiler, stop the cooling-water supply and allow the complete distillation system to cool before beginning any maintenance.
Remove the existing outlet components carefully and note their position and orientation. Install the required insert, outlet tube, compression olive, nut and valve without overtightening the small fittings.
Use suitable PTFE thread-sealing tape where specified by the AlcoEngine manufacturer.
Before operating the still, confirm that:

All fittings are correctly installed

The outlet pathway is unobstructed

The breather hole remains clear and faces upwards

Cooling hoses are securely connected

The valve moves freely
-
There are no visible leaks

Does This Kit Include the Complete Reflux Still?
No. This product contains replacement outlet hardware only.
The copper reflux column, condenser, thermometer, boiler and distillation lid are sold separately.
The complete AlcoEngine Copper Reflux Still is available separately from Border Brewing Supplies.
Are the Components Available Separately?
The components are supplied together as one replacement kit and are not normally sold individually.
This ensures you have both insert sizes, the outlet tube, compression fittings and ball valve available when servicing the still.
What Is the Difference Between the Two Inserts?
The 0.6mm insert provides a slower output rate and increased reflux, generally favouring higher separation and purity.
The 1.0mm insert provides a faster output rate with reduced reflux, generally favouring collection speed.
Will It Fit the AlcoEngine Pot Still?
No. This replacement kit is specifically designed for the AlcoEngine Reflux Still outlet and flow-control system.
The AlcoEngine Pot Still uses a different configuration and does not use these reflux-control inserts in the same way.
Does It Include the Distillation Lid?
No. A compatible boiler and distillation lid are required separately.
A 35L Distillation Lid with 47mm Hole is available for compatible 35L DigiBoil, BrewZilla and similar boiler setups.
