Concentrated No-Rinse Brewing Sanitiser

Protect your beer, cider and spirits from contamination with StellarSan No-Rinse Sanitiser.

StellarSan is a concentrated, phosphoric acid-based foaming sanitiser designed for brewing and beverage equipment. When correctly diluted, it provides fast and effective sanitation without requiring rinsing before contact with wort, beer or other beverages.

Use StellarSan to sanitise fermenters, kegs, bottles, brewing tools, hoses and suitable food-contact surfaces. Its foaming action helps the solution reach joins, fittings and other difficult areas where microorganisms may remain.

Mix at only 1.5ml per litre of water and allow at least one minute of contact time. One 500ml bottle makes approximately 333 litres of working sanitiser.

Why You'll Love It

  • Concentrated phosphoric acid-based sanitiser

  • No rinsing required when correctly diluted

  • Minimum contact time of only one minute

  • Foaming action reaches fittings and difficult areas

  • Can be applied by soaking, spraying or circulating

  • Makes approximately 333 litres

How to Use StellarSan

Clean all visible dirt, yeast, krausen and organic residue from the equipment before sanitising.

Mix 1.5ml of StellarSan with 1 litre of water.

Completely wet the surface by soaking, spraying or circulating the prepared solution through the equipment.

Maintain contact with the prepared sanitiser for a minimum of one minute.

Drain the equipment thoroughly. Rinsing is not required when StellarSan has been mixed and used at the recommended dilution.

Suitable Applications

StellarSan can be used to sanitise suitable brewing and beverage equipment, including:

  • Fermenters and lids

  • Stainless steel brewing equipment

  • Beer kegs and keg fittings

  • Beer and wine bottles

  • Siphons and transfer hoses

  • Bottling equipment

  • Brewing spoons and paddles

  • Airlocks and bungs

  • Beer taps and suitable beverage lines

  • Suitable food-contact work surfaces

  • Distilling and spirit-making equipment

The Foam Is Okay

StellarSan is a foaming, no-rinse formulation. A small amount of foam remaining inside a properly drained fermenter, keg or bottle does not need to be rinsed away when the product has been mixed at the correct dilution.

Rinsing after sanitising can reintroduce microorganisms from untreated water or surrounding surfaces.

Cleaning Before Sanitising

StellarSan is a sanitiser rather than a heavy-duty equipment cleaner.

Remove visible dirt, yeast deposits, krausen, beer stone and other organic material with a suitable brewing cleaner before applying StellarSan.

Sanitisers work most effectively on surfaces that are already clean.

Surface Compatibility

StellarSan is suitable for many common brewing materials, including stainless steel, glass and compatible food-grade plastics.

It is not recommended for prolonged contact with:

  • Aluminium

  • Copper

  • Brass

  • Wood

  • Unglazed porcelain

  • Porous materials

  • Acid-sensitive surfaces

Always test compatibility before using it on an unfamiliar material.
