How to Use StellarOxy
Kettles and Brewing Systems
Use approximately 10g per litre of warm water.
Fill, soak or recirculate the cleaning solution through the brewing system. Allow sufficient contact time for the active oxygen to loosen organic residue, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Fermenters, Kegs and Tanks
Use approximately 5g per litre of warm water.
Fully wet or immerse the surfaces being cleaned. Allow the solution to soak before draining and rinsing thoroughly with clean water.
Warmer water increases the speed of the cleaning reaction. For the best results, remove loose debris first and ensure the cleaning solution reaches every internal surface.
Is Sodium Percarbonate a Sanitiser?
StellarOxy is primarily a brewery cleaner. It removes the organic residue and contamination that can prevent a sanitiser from working correctly.
For reliable brewing hygiene, use a two-stage process:
-
Clean the equipment thoroughly with StellarOxy.
-
Rinse completely with clean water.
-
Apply a suitable no-rinse brewing sanitiser immediately before use.
Cleaning and sanitising are separate steps. StellarOxy should not replace your final sanitising stage.
Does StellarOxy Need to Be Rinsed?
Yes. Equipment cleaned with sodium percarbonate should be rinsed thoroughly with clean water before sanitising or coming into contact with wort, beer, cider, wine or spirits.
