Impressence NextGen Turbo Yeast is a high-performance turbo yeast and nutrient system designed for clean, high-gravity sugar wash fermentation. It can produce washes up to 20% ABV, while its yeast and nutrient system is formulated to minimise unwanted fermentation by-products and produce a cleaner neutral base for distillation.
Unlike conventional turbo yeast packs where the yeast and nutrients are combined, NextGen uses separate yeast and nutrient sachets. This helps protect the yeast during storage and provides the nutrients, vitamins, minerals and pH buffering required during fermentation.
Two Fermentation Options

The High Gravity method is designed to maximise alcohol yield from a standard-sized fermentation, while the Super Clean method uses the same amount of dextrose in a larger volume to reduce stress on the yeast and produce a cleaner neutral wash.
How to Use NextGen Turbo Yeast
- Clean and sanitise your fermenter and equipment.
- Dissolve 9.25kg dextrose in warm water.
- Top up with cold water to 25L for High Gravity or 50L for Super Clean.
- Ensure the wash is between 20–25°C.
- Add both the yeast and nutrient sachets and stir well.
- Ferment at 20–25°C until the specific gravity is stable — typically around 7–10 days.
