Flavour Profile
Still Spirits Single Whiskey produces a smooth and elegant whiskey character with light fruit flavours, gentle sweetness and subtle vanilla.
It has a refined and approachable profile rather than an intensely smoky or heavily peated character. Adding a small amount of water before drinking can help open the aroma and allow the delicate fruit and vanilla notes to become more noticeable.
What's Included?
Each retail packet contains:
-
Two individually portioned Single Whiskey essence sachets
-
Each sachet flavours approximately 1.125 litres
-
One complete packet makes approximately 2.25 litres of finished spirit
How to Use
Add one essence sachet to approximately 1.125 litres of suitable neutral spirit prepared at the desired drinking strength.
Mix thoroughly and allow the finished spirit to rest before drinking. Additional resting or ageing time will help the flavours combine and create a smoother, more rounded result.
Always follow the directions printed on the product packet.
How Much Spirit Does One Packet Make?
Each packet contains two essence sachets and flavours approximately 2.25 litres of finished spirit, equivalent to three standard 750ml bottles.
What Does Single Whiskey Essence Taste Like?
It creates a smooth, golden whiskey-style spirit with light fruit flavours and subtle vanilla. The profile is refined and approachable, with less smoke and peat than a heavily peated whisky.
Is This a Smoky Whiskey Flavour?
This essence focuses primarily on light fruit and vanilla rather than intense smoke. It is better suited to drinkers who prefer a smoother and more delicate single malt-style profile.
How Should Single Whiskey Be Served?
The finished spirit is ideal for drinking neat, over ice or with a small amount of water. A touch of water can help release its delicate aroma and bring forward the fruit and vanilla character.
It can also be used in cocktails that call for a smooth, lightly flavoured whisky.
Will Ageing Improve the Flavour?
Yes. The spirit can be consumed after mixing, but allowing it to rest gives the flavours time to combine. Ageing with suitable oak can provide additional colour, smoothness and complexity.
Is a 10 Pack Available?
Yes. Regular spirit makers can save with the Still Spirits Single Whiskey 10 Pack Bundle.
The bundle contains ten retail packets, providing 20 essence sachets and enough flavouring to make approximately 22.5 litres of finished spirit.
