Stainless Steel A-Type Commercial Keg Coupler
Connect compatible commercial beer kegs to your home bar, kegerator or mobile dispensing system with this A-Type commercial keg coupler.
Also known as a slide-on keg coupler or German slider coupler, it is commonly used with Coopers, Tooheys, XXXX and many Australian independent craft brewery kegs.
The coupler features stainless steel construction, standard 5/8-inch male gas and beverage connections and includes two 8mm Duotight push-in fittings for straightforward connection to compatible beer and gas lines.

Keg connections can vary between products, breweries and markets. Always confirm the valve fitted to your keg before ordering.
How to Connect an A-Type Keg Coupler

Ensure the coupler handle is raised and in the disengaged position.

Align the coupler with the valve on the top of the keg.
-
Slide the coupler across the keg valve until it is correctly seated.

Push the handle down to engage the coupler.

Check all gas and beverage connections for leaks before dispensing.

Adjust the regulator gradually to the appropriate serving pressure.
Always turn off the gas supply and release system pressure before disconnecting or servicing keg equipment.
Installing the Gas Duckbill Valve
The included duckbill valve acts as both a sealing washer and a gas non-return valve.
Remove the standard black EPDM washer from the Duotight fitting being used for the gas connection, then install the duckbill valve in its place. Do not install the duckbill valve together with the standard washer.
The duckbill valve helps prevent liquid from travelling back into the gas line or regulator.
Is This the Same as a D-Type Coupler?
No. A-Type and D-Type couplers connect to different commercial keg valves.
An A-Type coupler slides horizontally onto the keg valve, while a D-Type coupler is inserted and twisted into position. They are not interchangeable, so check the keg valve before purchasing.
Are the Beer and Gas Lines Included?
The two 8mm Duotight fittings are included, but beverage tubing, gas tubing, a regulator and other dispensing components are sold separately unless stated otherwise.
