The lubricant minimises downtime, extends the life of moving parts and will not dry or gum on equipment. It cleans off equipment easily.

Here are the main uses in homebrewing:

🍺 Keg O-rings (Most Common) Apply a very thin film to:

Lid O-ring
Gas post O-ring
Liquid post O-ring
Dip tube O-rings
PRV (pressure relief valve) O-ring

Benefits: Easier to seal, Stops O-rings twisting or pinching, Extends O-ring life, Helps prevent slow CO₂ leaks

🍺 Tap (Beer Faucet) Maintenance Lubricate:

Faucet shaft
Lever pivot
Internal seals (where recommended)

This: Stops taps sticking, Makes the handle smoother, Prevents dried beer from causing seizure (Do not pack the whole faucet with grease.)

🍺 Disconnects (Ball Lock) A tiny amount on:

Internal piston
O-rings

Helps disconnects: Snap on easier, Seal better, Last longer

🍺 Tri-Clamp Gaskets A very light wipe can help:

Hold the gasket in place during assembly
Prevent pinching

Don't overdo it—most tri-clamp gaskets seal perfectly dry.
